A Gallup poll found 27% of U.S. workers worry technology will make their jobs obsolete, the highest share recorded and seven points above last year. Among workers ages 18 to 44, that figure reaches 34%. HR leaders are urged to distinguish between skills gaps and confidence gaps, as the two can look identical but require different responses. Schoox research found 66% of younger frontline workers say their employer lacks adequate training support. Recommended approaches include role-specific learning, visible career paths, manager coaching, and internal mobility planning when roles are eliminated. Gallup also found employees who feel their organization cares about their wellbeing are six to seven points less likely to report displacement fears.
