Practitioners from Go1, Yelp, AMC Theatres, and Sherlock Performance AI outlined five approaches at a recent SPARK TALENT session to address what they call the activation gap, the drop-off between completing training and applying skills at work. Key recommendations include shifting success metrics from course completions to observable behavior change, auditing the work environment before launching programs, and embedding lightweight manager prompts into existing meetings rather than adding new tasks. Speakers also advocated for AI-based coaching tools to extend personalized support beyond the executive level, and for surfacing existing LMS content in real-time workplace moments.
