LinkedIn's Talent Velocity Advantage report finds that 86% of organizations lack the capacity to quickly assess skills gaps, build needed capabilities, and redeploy talent in real time. Kevin Bishop, LinkedIn's Director of Talent Development, presented the findings at SPARK TALENT, outlining five accelerators: leadership commitment to career development, a learning-oriented culture, targeted AI skill-building, integrated HR functions, and employee-driven career progression. According to the report, organizations that achieve talent velocity report stronger confidence in aligning talent to shifting priorities, attracting and retaining critical workers, and overall profitability. Bishop recommended HR leaders assess progress across a five-level maturity curve and start with achievable 30-day actions rather than overhauling everything at once.
